根據2005年8月公佈的國際病毒分類命名委員會第八次報告，HGV、GBV-A、GBV-B和GBV-C都是黃病毒科的成員，但GBV-B是黃病毒科丙型肝炎病毒屬的暫定成員，HGV、GBV-A和GBV-C沒有歸入屬，是黃病毒科的暫定成員。
